nino (2025, Game, screen recording)
‘The result wasn’t just a visual experiment, it was a sensory one. A conversation between bodies and code, and the effortlessness of gesture and the precision of AI… this collaboration affirmed that technology and artistry are strongest when they work together, opening exciting new paths for embodiment and narrative in live and digital performance’
Capturing the pulse of motion: exploring AI mocap with artists Gibson/Martelli RADiCAL Motion 6 June 2025
The nino project for MODINA transformed a live performance into a video game experience where the player is controlling a dancer avatar traversing a series of landscapes. Meeting other characters in the world who are also animated by our performers, allows the player to inhabit their body and play their dance material. Each scene has dual soundtracks from our two musicians: Mechanoid Muse and Casually Here together with dancers: Balázs Oláh, Csilla Nagy, Mar Serra Martí and Helén Tamaskó, Eszter Gál, Zara Phillips, Rob Anderson Ruby Portus, Ally Clarke and Ruth Gibson. Unreal Developer Bruno Martelli.
