Intra-actions exhibition at the Tamworth Regional Gallery, featuring a decade-long survey of artworks inspired by the natural environment. The term comes from physicist and philosopher Karen Barad, who uses "intra-action" instead of "interaction" to describe how things aren't separate entities encountering each other, but are actually shaped through their relationships. Everything is entangled. Everything affects everything else. This concept encapsulated an idea I had intuitively incorporated into my art, and it aligns with how I understand being in the world. By naming the exhibition 'Intra-action', I wanted to convey that our relationship with nature doesn't happen from outside; it's an inherent process, a dynamic and ever-shifting flow of mutual influence.
