Born To Be Lazy
These rewritten lyrics are a tribute to, and a repurposing of, Steppenwolf's song "Born to be Wild" and the movie "Easy Rider". I am suspicious, and depending on how old you were in the late '60s, that leveraging these iconic productions has allowed a capturing in 4 minutes and four seconds what is encapsulated in 1 hour and forty minutes, and "The People's Grief Montage". What say you?
Keep our motors runnin'.
Head on down that highway.
Lookin' for adventure.
Denying what's this' way.
Yeah, darlin', we’re gonna be a hap’n’n.
Burn the world with our love's embrace.
Fire all of the fossil carbon.
Explode into space.
I like pot and lightnin’.
Tripping is the thunder.
Racin' with the DOW.
Are the feelings that I'm under.
Yeah, darlin', we’re gonna be a hap’n’n.
Burn the world with our love's embrace.
Fire all of the fossil carbon.
Let’s leave not a trace.
Like a true greedy crazy.
We were born, born to be lazy.
We are all so high.
And never ever wanna cry.
Born to be lazy.
Born to be lazy.
Keep our motors runnin’.
Head'n down that highway.
Lookin' for adventure.
Denying what's in play.
Yeah, darlin’, we’re gonna be a hap’n’n.
Killed the world with our love's embrace.
Fired all of the fossil carbon.
Dead world spins in space.
Like a true greedy crazy.
We were born, born to be lazy.
We are all so high.
And never ever wanna cry.
Born to be lazy.
Born to be lazy.
