21'/2019/UK.
It is one hundred and fifty years since the birth of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, one of the world's most iconic social-political activists. This short film looks at the role he played in freeing India from imperialistic British rule utilising spiritual ideas of non-violent protest. Using existing and recently surfaced film and audio recordings, along with a soundtrack of music and poetic narration, the film transports us into a reverie of the great man as we celebrate a sesquicentenary since his birth.
